Apples are beautiful in September, hanging on the branch

but picking them in the rain is not fun.

Re: FS

I suppose you need something waterproof in your line of work FS. I just took it on board today and gave them all a spruce up. Meow

Re: Jimmy

What about the general purpose ones Jimmy, I used to use something called dubbing to waterproof mine, boots seemed to let the wet in. The troops had the better ones, My Dad wore leather gaiters. I had forgotten that until a man remarked on it recently.

Re: Kabu

Yes but your cat is nearly human Kabu. In fact it may not really be a cat any longer.

Shall I knit it a cat suit? Archie is really enjoying the sales, pity they won't last.

Re: Adnohr

Well I suppose the consensus is if one starts every one will want to have a go. Shops pay rates they might object. Um um, He was day dreaming and came back to reality.

Re: Naut

Dear Sam I don't think you would change, would you? Well once Naut if you remember breaking shoes or boots in was agony. I suppose we expect more these days.

CCT

Buying shoes on the net is a fools game - I'm having a hard enough time buying them at the store! I often take them back the next day - familiarity breeds contempt...And when I  look at the lives our pets lead in this house, I'm sorely tempted to trade places with them...

I have been polishing my shoes since the Marine Corps...Lower the bridge!

Really, why should someone mind if he is selling on the street? You did right to tell him to pick his own in the rain though. And the cat poem? I"ll have to come back and read it again later. I just didn't get it this time.

Cats....My post is about our cat...Oh well...and I am sure that no one minds the few apples and pretty flowers being sold on the street. Times are getting hard again and people know that a pound or two can help...and you remind me...I must get my boots out and spit polish them ready for Winter.

I like the cat one today and of course the flower is beautiful as they always are!

Since I so very rarely get "dressed up," my good shoes are never in need of polishing! Sometimes, when the occasion calls for it, a quick wipe with a soft cloth does the trick!

I myself have never used polish on my shoes...I like the cat theme for today.
