Ladybugs are all here, MsJudy!
It's my friend's granddaughter, but still means the same, and thank you!

I believe they all moved here, Jimmy!
Laughing is not only good for the soul, but good for the physical body also. It has been proven. Your friend probably enjoys your visits more than anything! Helen has a wicked sense of humor when you get it going. She just has been suffocated most of her life. I think we can change that here.

No - ants I don't want, but ladybugs are different. They don't try to carry
away my food. Yep - thought of you immediately when we got to the carwash!

Oh no, Kabu - I didn't scrub, she did!
I warned her if she was dong it to make a good impression on me, it wouldn't work. Happy to hear that the bro is doing the distinguished civilized dude with the cane.

I have found that folklore to be true, CCT.
No - I won't kill them, nor spiders, nor snakes either although I really DON'T like snakes!
I remember that chant from schooldays.

Thank you, Pat-B!
LOL - I can remember the first time a young man called me 'Ma'am' - it floored me!! I didn't think I was already looking that old. But they should be warned - never stop fearing us - we can be formidable! Experience counts!

She is home today Justi!!!!
Thank you ever so much!! Yes - I can see what Helen is going through - and thank heaven that my own kids are not pushing on her like Helen's are on her!! This lady is in good shape, both physically and mentally and doesn't need someone else running her life.

I agree, Nautikos, and more important than letting her help
is letting her do what she wants to do. If you really want to say 'too bad' in French (Quebecois) meaning the outcome was unfortunate or a shame, you would say C'est malheureux, or C'est de malheure (slang). Tant pis, in Quebecois means you really don't care one way or another.

Thank you so much, Ciel, and you read it right for Alexia.
These are the spotted ladybugs, not the one one-color ones, so far no bites.

I have a close friend who is in terrible shape physically ( a long story - he was born that way ) and suffers each and every day with some sort of pain and/or discomfort. We get together on Saturday afternoons, and I spend the day doing my best to get him smiling, laughing and enjoying himself; anything that might get his mind off of his troubles. I also offer the day up to him, whatever he feels like doing. So, I understand completely what you're doing for your friend. Glad to hear that little girl is doing better. And I honestly don't remember the last time I saw a Ladybug! I guess they all moved out of Jersey a long time ago . . .

That is great you showed her how to use an automatic car wash.
When it comes to bugs, I had to deal with ants earlier this year. They were quite the pain.

Wiley's cane is working miracles....people change completely into rather civilized individuals when one is using a cane. I hope that you and Helen fit in very well together and scrubbing stairs!!!! My back aches just thinking about it ...LOl...company for you both and independence, sounds like a plan.

Good news on the little girl, that's great. Now Adhnor Lady birds we call them if you have a lot of nettles around they lay eggs on them . Oh, no never kill a lady bird, Don't you know what you have to do? If one rests on your arm, they don't bite they just nip, so you must say.' Lady bird, lady bird, fly away home your house is on fire and your children have gone.' You then gently blow on the little creature and she will take off, having heeded your warning. Well that is folk lore.

Kinda funny how people who would have feared me once
now think I'm "nice." They call me "honey" and ask if I need help carrying one little grocery bag out to the car. So glad little Alexia's on the mend - I hate it when children are so ill. And I know Helen's going to come back strong as she spends time with you. Hugs to you both...

Nautikos is so right. Ladybugs eat a lot of bad things you don't want in yard of house and they will move on. You are such a dear lady you know how this woman feels even in a different era because you know on one knows how life is until you reach it. You are such a kind and giving person. We prayed daily for Alexia and will until she is home.

Oh, and about the lady bugs:
They're very useful - they eat aphids! I once bought a whole box full of them for my garden, but they didn't stick around very long - I guess I didn't have as many aphids as I thought...

let her, LOL! Oh, and thanks for the French lesson: I always thought tant pis meant
'too bad'...

Ladybugs are no ladies... they can bite!
I saw them swarming once, in Texas.
Glad to hear Helen is making herself at home, and that the little warrior is winning her battle!
