Re: Annicita,
It is lovely... actually, I do love dramatic weather, as well as the mellow, mild days!

Re: lustorlove
Let's see... bipolar weather would be... like the North and South poles...? Sounds cold! And I'd be putting out snacks for polar bears and penguins... instead of my little black squirrel and the blue jays!

Re: FormerStudentIntern.
I've spent a couple of autumns and many other bits of seasons in that area... When I was 2, I lived in Gaithersburg, in fact. I can't say I remember the weather there, then...
Anyway... it is wacky now everywhere, because expectations are totally thrown off by the realities of what's happening in the big picture.

For all practical purposes we've still got summer here! I was wearing my shorts when I took my doggie for his late-afternoon walk...

Son keeps trying to get me to bring in my plants, but I am resisting him at this point. I have never brought them in before the middle or end of October here. I'm not ready to deal with it yet. LOL

There are times when nothing will do to erase the blues
but a day full of bright sunshine - even if it's cold, the sunshine is a balm to the soul.

Re: CCT,
I can well understand that sunless gloom that comes over people who simply need more sunlight in their lives. Living in Washington State, winters are glum with rain that seems to never end. There are those special lamps to provide full-spectrum light. And I hear that there are a lot of English in Cyprus. My English son-in-law's mum is one of them.

Glad you like it Ciel. Well it is nice if one can adapt to the changing patterns without becoming depressed as quite a few do here. Lack of sunshine gives them the moodies.
