Re: WileyJohn
That is sad because it would do them so good to see you and spend some time with you. The same is true of my three Seattle grandsons, sons of Son #3. He has not seen them since he and their mother was divorced and the sons took their mother's part in everything. Even though he has Phil, his heart is heavy in missing his other three sons.

Re: Kabu
I love your sense of humor.
I always appreciate it when someone notices that I'm trying to be funny.

LOL...might just as well finish your thriller it seems to me.
And I like having a grown up Son. He makes the adult decisions for me with my finaces in Australia and I can enjoy my life, care free from that problem. He turned 45 this year.

As long as you feel as you always did you are fine. Your age simply is a mark of having reached a long line of successful mile markers. You have so much wisdom to share with the younger ones who read you, and there are many. Begin to appreciate that beautiful reflection in the mirror as a wise gift to younger women and young men too.

These 'fairy tales', all based on folk tales, are often very gruesome! Kids usually get to read only the 'expurgated' versions...

I wonder what it would feel like when each child reaches a particular age. As for me, both of my parents are in their fifties.

Blood lust and 'shadenfreude', but also
altruism: compassion for strangers, the urge for justice in an indifferent world, sympathy and empathy, love...

I've asked myself many a time why we love the drama,
especially when we look at the players on the stage and tell ourselves real people wouldn't do that. They're not that (fill in the descriptor: mean, stupid, vindictive, selfish, deceptive, etc.). But then comes the evening news, the truth stranger than fiction. And just when we think we've seen the lowest - along comes Congress.

No you are just the same little girl who viewed the world with wonder Taps.
It is all deep inside, it only takes a mini second to go back.
Once you did not have time because you were to busy tending
to your children and worrying about them.
Now they worry about you which is nice, some kids do not.
