p.s. i no longer live in pasadena, ca since going on disability... can get much more bang for the buck in iowa... believe it or not i pay 132 in rent/mo.... and it's a big, beautiful one bedroom looking out upon a cornfield... i'm literally in pig's heaven... back in my hometown and i love it... but your son if he's use to ca would probably hate a place like this...

have you tried nti.org? national telecommute institute? it's an org which people back to work who don't want to stay on disability... not sure this would apply to your situation... i'm not doing it as my psychiatrist keeps calling me "disabled" and that i should STAY ON disability and not venture to get a regular full-time job... anyway, this fyi may not apply to your son, but you may know people to whom it does... sincerely, carolyn

. thanks for dropping by my am post... i'm on disability and not working at all... i'm really tight with the buck as i have to be so may not be back here if i don't recoup my 12.95... not to put click pressure on it's just the way it is for me... i do enjoy everyone on blogit though and the feedback is wonderful... so i'll probably be "foolhardy" and spend the 12.95... anything to keep from REAL writing... ha, i think we're still REALLY writing here on blogit... it's just different.

Re: Re: Re: Re:
perhaps what I am thinking about is something that happens in Auastralia only....if you can work in a different are where your back won't be harmed...like behind a desk...the Gov. has schemes that Pay you and retrain you...so that you can then go back to work full time

Re: Re:
I was thinking perhaps the Gov. would pay him more money to retrain him in an easier job! easier on his back.

and if congress doesn't release money by the end of the month...things will get more difficult. Can he retrain under some Gov. programme for a job that he can handle, and get paid by the Gov. while he is retraining?

So many people could use some assistance....and then there are those making $50,000,000 to act in one movie or for one season of football or something else ridiculous. Sometimes it seems insane to me.

Geez, what a mess. It kinda reminds me of an incident my parents went through years ago when my younger brother wanted to go to college. My parents didn't make enough money to send him on their own, but apparently made too much money to qualify for government-sponsered financial assistance! What the heck is one supposed to do? Hopefully that lawyer can get some answers and help things along . . .
