i do business with those who use a real person to answer the phone and my q....i refuse to use self check out while they only open 1 or 2 lanes...i go where my business is wanted and appreciated

Yeah, it seems the days of actually talking to and interacting with another human during certain transactions are slowly dying off. I rarely come across those "voice activation" devices you described, and I'm glad! What a terrible system . . .

with my hearing empairment and dislike of wearing my hearing aids, i'm the one who often hears peoples' words wrong...
