One never forgets those old systems Pat, I expect they worked for many years, These days they say don't give milk to cats. Cats still like it though.

I like this. It reminds me of spending the summer at Uncle Mike & Aunt Evva's old farm, and the haystacks, and barn cats catching mice and blacksnakes stealing hen eggs,...oh yes, and the outhouse, and milking cows, and baking bread in the wood-burning stove, and cream so thick you could turn the crock upside-down and it and the cream staid in place after it cooled....and so much more.

an idea to pop into a story because it is so well written i now have much more information about harvesting Corn...especially in those old back breaking days...Hmnnn maybe I have now got a thought from you for my blog...

LOL - good analogy! Maybe it would help if you got a cow, for that warm stream of milk....energy to head that mouse off before it escapes.
