Jay if you look through the categories you will find most are dead in the water.

If you want to know what I did not like about the poetry site, it was basically an ego

raising experience. We should all have been more critical, It is no use just saying

wonderful, or just giving repetitive praise, because it never encourages the poet

to sharpen the writing. We are all the same, we like the glow of appreciation

however false we may feel it to be. As you know I moved to another site

and usually pop a poem in that has been hopefully improved, but most folk

find it easier to respond to just ordinary chit chat and ignore the poem

The reason I moved from Journal was that I wrote most days and that did

not seem fair to the others who did not have the time to spare.

I would be quite happy to move to a communal site, but some aspects

are not in my perspective. I did have one complaint that I should not be

on Home and Gardening as I did not talk much about gardening.

Well having tried to scrape a living on a quarry by growing veggies

and bedding plants, I could probably bore the average amateur gardener

to tears. Such is life Jay. I really do miss the feeling I used to have

when having constructed a poem, I felt well did I do that?

I know this does not answer your plea, the old poets had it easy

they had no competition and if you read their work carefully I think

one would be better to craft one's own version, better to be unique

than meek.

I see what you are saying. At times I have felt that maybe Blogit should end the categories.
