me again...
i'm in a mode of repentance and prayer today and this verse reminds me of something i learned from my dad whom i abandoned AT NIGHT in the middle of the California desert... i was in the throes of a very wild manic high and he was taking me back home to burbank and whatever psych hospital and anyhow he made it safely home to iowa after hitching some rides with truckers and he told me that someone along the way back told him he was lucky he wasn't bitten by a poisonous snake out in the desert because they go to the shady areas along the sides of the road during the day and come up to the cooler road at night... God protected him and me... we each got to our destinations i think the year was about 1995 and now that i live home here in iowa in 2013 he is 85 and i am 52. he's a very blessed and forgiving man. i have go to the same lutheran church as he and have dinner with him on sundays.
