Well Jay this is a good poem, if one reads publications one strives hard to find experience combined with art. Sadly apart from from those who follow you, I think most seek instant gratification, no one is to blame, time moves on, it is like those old cowboy films we used to watch. Probably in years to come a professor will dig out such poems and collate them in a museum.Early poets had the advantage of having no distraction, a book was a kind of sacred object. I would not try to copy them, but use your own skill even if you write for your own pleasure or maybe achievement. You cannot expect to get excessive response from so few bloggers.

You know what's best for you pard, but I don't need a photo to get the beauty, sadness, joy, love, out of your poetry.I think you shall find that your poetry are your best photographs any time. I do understand you though 'cuz we got educated in the same place. We're always trying to get off our elevator and work on a new floor.

You capture the intensity so well in this poem...I would like to see you continuing to post your poetry here on Blogit.

There will still be poetry Naut, I just would feel a lot better about posting photos with my poetry in a space meant more for photos than the poetry blog is which makes me feel as though I am doing something out of sorts, though I suppose that posting poetry in the arts and photography space will be out of sorts as well, but no one is using it right now.

History and biography distilled into poetry - it's amazingly well done!

And I still don't quite understand why you would not want to continue delighting us with your poetry...

I'll visit you wherever on Blogit you pop up Jay...some times it is good to try something different. Oh and sometimes I read both poems but only make one comment. Doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy one. Like today I find your poetry quite a thrill to read and ponder over.
