A friendly Welcome To Blog-it as well!
Believe it or not, years ago there was a huge football player named Rosy Grier, a 6 ft 5, 285 lb. defensive tackle who played for the Giants and the Rams, who, after retiring, became prolific with needlepoint and other sewing endeavors. After years of smashing opposing linemen and crushing various quarterbacks, he felt it was an unbelievable way to relieve stress and unwind. And when you're 6 ft 5 and 285 lbs., you're not going to get too many people kidding you about it . . . !

As a non-knitter, I have not given the therapeutic possibilities that knitting can provide a thought. Now that I am thinking about it, it does make sense.
I would also like to welcome you to Blogit.
