Your love of sailing does come out in this post too, Naut. The Bluenose was
certainly the pride of Nova Scotians.

Very interesting. I have seen those Canadian dimes and that schooner, but never knew much of it in general. Thanks for the info . . .

Naut
Nice informative blog. I enjoyed it. I love even our little boats here. Nothing historic or huge.

Interesting Naut, I wonder what happened to the original Blue Nose?
I usually watch the fishing boats going out on the box. It is still pretty hairy. but it must have been a cruel life without modern navigation techniques. I think there are free programmes. I have Adobe photo shop probably a cheaper version and one can just reduce the pixels or of course increase them. I expect it took me a time to find out how to do it. Type it in your search box.

I've seen the schooners and other sailing ships around Key West
where they often parade at sunset. They're graceful as butterflies - and I think I could stay aboard one forever if they'd let me. Interesting read about the Bluenose... Always thought that was a slang term for a snobby disapproving teetotaler.

I like the way you build these stories Naut, you are a master at it. As for my moving to photography, poetry will still be my mainstay, but I will be by myself over there which will free me up to do things I wouldn't do in the poetry blog...It's just not the same over there anymore.

This rich history well-shows why the boat is on the Canadian time.
