- Go to Well, I’m back...Part IX
It was horrendous, the explosion and the loss of life. I have not been to Halifax yet, but really want to visit one day. I'll be sure to stop in that beautiful park.

Great post. I love the gardens, and the gazebo, and would love to some string music. Maybe I'll just put some on.....Got some going now. Thanks.

I love that park but have never read such a 'travel guide' that gave me the history. Beautiful pictures.

It's lovely...i was in Halifax with Wiley but not for long enough it would seem. How lovely, a quartet playing in the Gazebo in the Park. I could sit there for hours.

What a beautiful park! I also did not know about the explosion. I can only imagine the carnage that caused. Thank you for the pictures and the history lesson. I always learn something when I visit your posts. Have a great weekend.

Looks very English Naut, but I guess a lot of folks made their way from the old country.
Three of my great aunts 90 years ago , I should not think that they sat and did knitting.

I did not know about that collision. As the old saying goes, we learn something new every day.

I always wanted to see Halifax, if only because Grandma Lucy
would never say Hell, or even H-e-double-toothpicks. She'd say so-and-so was headed for Halifax in a handbasket. How cool to see it's a fine and thriving place. :)

You know Naut, that I have seen this city on maps, and heard about some of its history, but these words from your heart and your pictures give it a new life all it's own...Beautiful and well done.
