That.... for the one dying... time
as we know it stops completely or slows to almost a crawl... meaning, the one who lives (remains) grows old and dies in almost NO "time" to the one gone. So, within just moments of the first departed - the family member or beloved - comes to be with them. (This always brings me great comfort when I hear about a child dying of cancer or a tragic drowning or vehicle accident.) I want to believe that TIME is simply and earth thing... it's non-existent elsewhere.

chocolate on the lips at death
...not a theory, but my mom said she wanted us to put chocolate on her lips when she died, but I didn't have the courage. Thought it funny, though.
