Re:
Hi, Jimmie I hear you. I don't live in that area, but watched and my heart sank for the Jersey coast.
Thank goodness no hurricanes so far this year. Keep up the optimism.

We are retired but finding it difficult to do much because we are underfunded. But it is a joy. My husband works part time and we garden and have a full time ministry. Those things may not be anything for others but they give us great pleasure. I like your blog.

My wife and I are in our early fifties, and "retirement" is one of those topics we don't really bother to bring up or discuss, primarily because it seems that everyone's future is somewhat cloudy right now. No, I'm not really a "pessimistic, glass-half-empty" type of person. But I probably pay too much attention to the "events of the day," and like many others, I'm extremely nervous! Nervous about what's going on on the world stage, nervous about our economy, nervous about "natural" things we have no control over ( Hurricane Sandy did a job on us last year over here in Jersey! We simply cannot afford another one! ). We are forced to more or less take it one day at a time, and actually try not to look too far ahead! I do have many things I would like to do once retired, but I'm afraid that day may be a long way off . . .
