i recently lived across the street from a pretty slate blue a framed church nestled in evergreens. living in iowa with the sparse Winters i often thanked God for the wisdom of the committe that decided to plant those trees as opposed to the "regular" ones that go bald in the off season when the yankees are relaxing at home with family and friends;) this is the second time i've read this piece. nice read.

wonderful post but I am surprised you didn't include how that leaf becomes fertilizer for new growth

Mother Nature knows what she is doing, and we are lucky enough to benefit from it all. Love the flow and description.

thank you for reading my posts... i like the spring season best me thinks..

like the monk... his name escapes me who wrote practising his prescence... who saw God in a tree as it came to life new each year... i'm still not there with him but i dearly long to practise God's prescence.

Thus the cycle of life, and the seasons begins anew. Round and round they go, until the end of time! Unfortunately for my wife and me, our yard is almost completely surrounded by evergreens, so we have to contend with more pine needles than leaves! Don't walk out there in bare feet! Ouch!

Yes, the cycle of life and once we learn how to use it our gardens will grow green...I loved this post, it was beautiful.

BF

A beautifully poetic description of physical processes that, while fully understood, remain fundamentally mysterious...
