It is interesting reading of the history there.

names that I know, places that are strange to me. Truro in The Barossa Valley in South Australia's wine growing ...a Town with a German heritage and they make the most divine cakes. They make a Beer cake with a delicious topping, food to die for and Apricot cake and tarts...

But that is another country of course. love your trip posts.

Great pics, and it's good that you can "trust" those bridges up there! Here in the states, at last report, over 7,000 bridges are in desperate need of repairs! I'm so glad that, in our travels, my wife and I really only have to cross one, and it's already been repaired! Dangerous . . .

Coal mine disasters and sweet songstresses - what a variety

and then the bridges too. Nice journey.

Have never had the pleasure to visit that area...yet. Good picture! Always nice to return to a place we remember with fondness.

What a view, makes me feel a bit giddy. Perhaps more mines will be exploited in this manner Naut, seems more sensible than risking life . It has always been a hazardous occupation.
