I'm definitely not a mermaid, so I guess that's why I prefer my kippers on saltines.

I bet the apples made the house smell lovely (if only for a while). You've got me itching to make a trip to our farmers market and find some fresh fruit!

Poor kippers may have a hard time finding acceptance among mermaids, except for breakfast, possibly...But of course bees are terribly seductive - I learned that as a small boy...

Yes Kabu there are called herrings. Sold out could have sold five times as many. I made 4 pounds profit. Yes the house did smell different, well you know a couple of goats and a donkey it is bound to smell homely.

There was a Purple Mermaid here once...
Your poem reminds me of something I saw in a documentary... a bee, urgent to collect the deepest pollen, missed the final call when the sun was going down. The flower closed for the night while he was still inside, and so he spent the night, until sunrise. I think he must have had very pleasant dreams.

There are probably more Gnomes and fairies on Blogit than mermaids or mermen...are there really mermen??
Hope Archie was able to sell the apples and you made a few pence for your charity...the house must have smelled delicious.

That is the most sensual rendition of the birds and bees (well, at least bees) that I have ever read, CCT! Bravo!! As for Archie, showing up late and coming out with that, he have been eating apples, two or three stuffed at a time.

No, I don't think there are any mermaids in here, but there may be a few old crabs ( just teasin', everybody! ). And I think you might need to be a little more careful when chastizing Archie about anything. Remember, even a "misbehaving gorilla" doesn't know its own strength . . .
