I am glad that you are there to take her dog into your home...I remember when my grandmother died, my aunt and mother had a lot calls to make. It is difficult to do.

There are no books to tell you how to do this thing, but you're
being thorough and sensitive. When I went out west to Washington to help when my mother died, I made a list of what had to be done and told my sister here's what we do: when we've done the last thing on the list, we take the $1000 my mother had left, rent a car, and drive south enjoy the scenery, stay in nice motels, and eat well.l We didn't get very far before we had to come back, but it was perfect and we got our heads back on straight. "Mom would approve," I said, and that's what we did. I never regretted it.

I am glad you are taking the poor old dog in Jay it must be a wonderful feeling not to be roped however long it was. I suppose one must be realistic it will not be for long, sad thing about dogs, well any animal, short life span for many, I am, sure I would have come to the funeral if I lived near and I mime perfectly.

I am so happy the dog is happy. I am sorry for your loss; however, when one is older i believe the Lord only calls for them when they have finished his plan for them. If you can you may want to tell her story yourself. God bless you son, I shall be praying for you and your family.
