Re: JimmyA running into Zulus

You will know them when you see them. You don't wanna mess around with those guys. The Oxford English dictionary in the past  used to describe a Zulu as a member of a 'warlike tribe' living in Zululand in Southern Africa.

Re: Big City folk regard you as a country bumpkin if you greet every one

You are rigt KABU, I wonder how these stiff-upper-lip big city folk feel when they visit rural areas. Over here they visit these places to 'get in touch with nature', to be away from the smog filled noisy concrete jungle of the cities. But how do you hold a conversation with a lion,(see my recent blog about lions with no halitosis)an elephant, snake or a tree?

Re: TAPS geeting anyone approaching

Yeah TAPs, as they say LOVE EVERYBODY, TRUST NO ONE.

This made me laugh.  I've made it a point to smile and greet anyone approaching me as I walk along.  It makes some people very uncomfortable because they don't really want to be greeted or to find it necessary to respond.

nobody on a train or a bus or a lift in the big Australian cities would speak to you. but country folk will always say G' day.
