Re: Fang and claw, and beak, it seems, full force nature in your tree -

Well I suppose it is food to a bird as we might eat a baby lamb Pat. Some of those chillies are red hot, I prefer tomatoes.

Re: Adnohr

No it would have been horrible to see it with a young chick. It is all in the mind , don't you think?

Birds are very interesting to watch in action...It is great to see a poem with Ms. Wolfy.

love the flower, Nature is so cruel at times...but the silly pigeon is very late nesting ....love the poem of course...you had me fooled until the twist at the end. TEE HEE.

Hahaha!! Like the way the poem leads us on...for a hot pepper! Poor pigeon. But as you say, at least it wasn't a baby birdie. Egg is not so bad.

Fang and claw, and beak, it seems, full force nature in your tree -

but if it has to be the egg of another bird, I do have a bit less sympathy for a pigeon. Nice poem, selecting a hot pepper and sensuously told.

At times it's difficult to watch and see what different animals do to each other, but sometimes you've just got to step back and let Nature run its course . . .
