I'll never forget the time I rounded a mountain trail in the Teton Mountains of Wyoming and suddenly came face to face with a large bull moose coming down the trail.  Thank goodness I startled him as much as he did me.  I froze, but he leaped into the growth along the trail and I could hear him scrambling down the mountainside.  He was almost as loud as the thudding of my heart.

There was a time when one needed a special permit to hunt the moose down here, but now there are so many that they trample peoples yards so now there is a season and any resident can put in for a draw. Your trip sounds like an adventure, it is too bad you have lost the freedom in your country to use what is legally bought, these are the very freedoms we are fighting for down here. I hope the bad news is not something with the car.

Let me guess: you have to share your room with a moose!

Ok   I rather you tell me your car was stolen... a lost hooker barched into your room in the middel of the night or that  a Moose was in your room eating your cloth in the morning .... than that you found BED BUGS!!!!!!  Oh no!!! I would rather die!!!  I can not wait to find out what the "horrible finding" is!  Be well my friend  xoxoxo

I guess hit a moose and it is not like hitting a rabbit, Wonder why the hotelier thought that you were French. I would have been glad to get off that road.

Horrible discovery?? Moose aplenty around here. I had one running along beside my car until I finally stopped and let him cross. He was a young one, but still huge. Awesome creatures.

I think you did a great job of showing the superior attitude of

some fluently bilingual folk who seem to enjoy watching the language-challenged stumble with communication difficulty when they could make it easy.

I have never seen a moose.  They are scary looking and I guess the same effect would be seeing a bear here in Florida.  Well, you did get the chance to practice your French.  I look forward to reading what happened next.

I find it funny how things are allowed to be sold but not used. Go figure, as they say...I never thought about moose being such a road factor...That was quite the interaction there...You have left us with a cliffhanger there.
