I hear you. That is why I followed up with today's article. Sometimes we must move on without the words or feelings we seek. However, like you said the your own health can be affected. When all is said and done, we must learn to forgive ourselves.
I do agree with you about forgetting also. 'Once burned' and all that stuff. I would like to think I could forgive another for the harm to my family, however I will live with that for the rest of my life.

"Forgive and forget" is a commonly used adage, but sometimes it's not that easy! I know it can actually affect a person's health to hold onto a grudge for a long time, but most of the time it seems to be dependant on what caused the rift in the first place. Forgive? Maybe. Forget? Not always possible . . .
