Re: Jay, Norvask is a word I didn't know till 4 months ago. It's
another name for amlodapine, one of my medications. It doesn't sound like a medical term and it has a weird ring to it that I thought was good for the poem (sounds like some kind of Russian weather station "Temperatures of 70 below were recorded at Norvask this morning.")

Oh, before I forget again it is a sculpture I made representing an Indian lady on the "Trail of Tears" the one thousands of Cherokees died on when forced to walk from their homes in the east and south to Oklahoma.

All I want to know is what is Norvask, I keep seeing what I think that nurses face looked like with her saccharin smile...Writing has always been my best therapy.

Nothing nice about that kind of experience, and I can see how writing helped. The sense of humor (even dark) did too, no doubt.

As an old retired nurse I can tell you that if I was still working, this would be pasted in the nurses station...to remind everyone that a patient is a person; give the respect due.

Hi, CC. Those ,.were some of the worst days of my life.
Writing made me feel good - as good as I could until I could get up and use the bathroom myself.
