Re: JimmyA
Did celebrates the end of Ramadhan, the fasting month of Muslims. We celebrate that we fasted the holy month and done what God asked us to do..

Re: Kabu
I am happy you are interested Kabu.. :)
I will specify a post for Omani Sweet..
We usually have vegetables salad. It contains tomato, cucumbar, carrots, cabbage leaves, olive, olive oil, some sort of herbs can't remember its name, and we have salt and lemon on it..This is one kind but my favourite.. Camel meat is tasty and so delicious.. I hope I can invite you here at home so I would cook camel meat for you..

Although my meat intake has been substantially reduced over the years, I think I could participate if it was for a specific celebration. Just out of curiosity, what is Eid actually celebrating . . . ?

I have not eaten camel and assumed it was not eaten. It is good to know the traditions of other cultures. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting. I saw that "fire in the hole" kind of cooking on the TV not long ago. But, I must admit I have never eaten camel before. I've never seen it on a menu or in a meat market here. I have eaten buffalo burgers. And have eaten pig roasted on a spit over a pit.
