yes friend, greed is everywhere, Christmas has taken Christ away and replaced our Lord with money making. and gas prices always rise for every holiday....We humans are all more similiar than we think.

The merchants feel that they can hike up prices and people will buy at that time!  Sad though that they take advantage of the customers.

PIt happens here and by the retail mail order catalogs I guess in other countries. Certainly Christmas has become since the 20th century make a buck. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Gee, and I thought only certain American cities practiced this particular scandal. It's called "gouging," and yes, it is supposed to be against the law! A few law suits were recently settled against gas stations who raised their prices to ridiculous levels following Hurricane Sandy, knowing that, no matter what, people were going to need gasoline. I guess the best descriptive word for this particular practice is unscrupulous . . .
