I have always wished Grandson Phil could call me something, but I just love his big grin and his laughter and excitement when he sees me coming.

My grandchildren call me Mémère, which translates as 'Granny'. I'm sure none of the other grandmothers want the term - it's ALL mine!!
Have learned the lesson too - used to hate (even scoff at) western music and now I listen to it quite often, just because it reminds me of my brother. It's the 'never say never' thing, right? Nice to see you writing again.

I don't have any children, and so I know I won't be having any grandchildren! But I think that, if I did, it really wouldn't matter all that much what they called me! The love is there no matter what . . .
