Wiley and I are always together and we have decided we don't need to waste our small incomes on stuff we don't need and probably couldn't use very well anyway. Good for your Mum.

And I agree! It seems much of the new technology is unnecessary and a little bit of "overkill." Much of it is confusing, and really doesn't make too many things that much easier. But, at the very least, we all should have a cell phone, just for emergencies . . .
