When it comes to food and groceries, my wife and I are very thrifty and cost-conscious! It's really not all that difficult to make wonderfully delicious yet inexpensive meals if you put your mind to it . . .

If we don't already have it growing.
we check the home improvement stores for the plants (oregano, thyme, basil, etc) instead of buying from the fresh produce section. Quantity is usually greater, price is usually less AND it is renewable after the initial harvest.
