Re: Jay

I think he has got a bit soft not doing the all night running delivering milk. I shall not have to use the  whip for a while.

Re: Pat..

Well it was a good job Archie did the cementing first Pat, I need them strong in the back and weak in the head. Oh! that's the advice given to young men fifty years ago.

Re:

We manage by not de-fleaing ourselves very often. Trading flowers for old vests and pants. And feeding the cat on blue birds.

Re: adnohr

I think they are grass fleas Adnohr. well I might have to pull these poems they are becoming a bit too saucy, but inspiration is a bit thin on the ground at present.

Like Jimmy, I am happy you let us know exactly who the flea powder was for! I own a 4 stroke too, it's what is needed for my place. Don't like the fumes of the other either.Your poems are certainly the utmost of original!! And a pleasure to read, I might add. Very pretty flower too.

Once in awhile, my sister's back goes out on her...The last stanza struck me. You have a way with words.

That back-going-out business is no fun at all.  I did it once when I was about 40 on the last day of vacation slinging luggage around into our van.  Had to travel in pain all the way back to KC from Santa Fe.  When we finally got back home, I lay down on the floor and tried to relax while hubby pulled on my feet.  It popped back into place and gradually got well and I've never done that again.

Hey, if Archie can no longer do manual labor, the slave market is probably the last place to send him! And thanks for clearing up that the flea powder was for the cat and not for Archie . . .
