nothing works as it once used to. Can you buy the paper tops still?? I used to put a drop of vinegar onto the top of my jam and it preserves it for longer. Can I come and have pie????

Of course it makes sense! It's to run up the price! If they were sold together, they might actually be cheaper! Even the canning industry has to make their profits somewhere . . .
