Basil is one of my favorites!!
I cut fresh tops each morning and put it in place of lettuce on my lunches!

Well, it's an ugly color, but I can tell it has a lot of zing to it. It is a pint of freshness and I've almost got it all down now: fresh parsley, basil, dill weed, carrots, cantelope, mixed berries, and a plum all zoomed together with a little water for liquid and who knows what goodies for the body. That ought to keep me going for the night. I was going to add a broccoli florette but there wasn't room. LOL

You can also make the easy basil pesto that I make and put it on tomato sandwichs, pasta or any way you want to serve it. It is simply four garlic cloves 1/2 cup oilve oil, 1 cups lightly roasted pecans, generous 4 cups of basil 1/4 cup mayonaise I put mine in the blender and it is ready to go in a minute or so.

I was just trying to figure out something healthy to eat for dinner as I am not really hungry but need a little nourishment for the evening. I'm going to make me a basil nutriblast and see if that perks me up. I've been kind of hang-dog all day. Lets see what fresh basil from Stephen's garden can do for me.
