If I were a beggar instead of a thief....uh, wait a minute, that doesn't sound right.
If I were a beggar that refused to become involved in thievery, it would probably be because of pride, and that same pride that kept me from thieving would probably also keep me from begging. So, I probably would die the death of a rag doll that could not find employment.
