When Davy was a pup
he owned a ball that was a smallish basketball in a sort of strap contraption, and hung just above the ground on our long wire clothesline. He attacked that thing like Bennie did his soccer ball, with fierce snarling and growling, doing all in his power to subdue it.
One day, one of the cats was on the roof of the house, watching this fearsome song and dance, and I happened to be watching at the instant when Urgo realized that the puppy was now larger than he was. Urgo vanished over the crest of the roof, and we didn't see him again for 6 weeks.
On the previous trip back from Oly, I brought the Battle Ball along... it has lost its strappy thing, and most of its air, but it was a sweet reunion!

Ben reminds me so much of our Reeses. He will play catch for hours. I dont think we ever played with a soccer ball though
