I'm pretty used to it by now, Ms Judy, altho' it's still frustrating
sometimes - especially if I have something to do the next day! Not into games, but reading? Oh yes!

I do both of those too, Rumor,
I used to do housework, but with tenants now downstairs, that would be annoying, LOL!

No tripe, CCT. UGH!
The butcher sells huge frozen beef cubes, fit for humans but cut is too tough for our finicky palates. Doggies love it!

That insomnia bug is a nuisance, isn't it...Like you, I try to sleep when I know I'll be able to, and when the insomnia comes, I just read or write usually..

Well it is too late to comment on this page, but you do seem to be happier. I hope you do not cook tripe, my Grampy cooked it for his greyhounds when I was a boy and I had to run past the outhouse when he was doing so. It nearly choked me.

I've tried that - it didn't work - but will try again. Patients? What is your vocation, if it's not too bold to ask?

I've had Grump since he was a puppy, Nautikos
And he's a special fellow - always learned very quickly. Bud wasn't so quick, nor is Smooch. And I do live on acres of land, so that probably makes the absence of a leash easier.

Pat - I've found that feeding a real meat diet helps the doggies
both mentally and physically. I cook their food, although give some meat raw, mixing vegetables and certain fruits, and have started weaning them off the commercial dry food. I gathered info first from different internet sites, and other owners who have already used the method.

She could be, Pat_B. It sounds like she has pit in her.
They are beautiful, loving dogs, full of energy and playful no matter their age. I am really happy for your son, and that these 2 found each other.

I cannot stand how many buttons have to be pushed before talking to a person...Fortunately, changing one's address at least in Maryland can be done over the phone...Hopefully, you will be able to get some sleep.

YOu are such an amazing woman Adhor and as a friend you are what we all dream we would have :-) I am happy Helen has settled down and is being accepted by the rest of your clan... Please relax and let your mind go blank once in a while... I know is not easy but if you keep trying it will come to you... I myself had big troubles with sleeplessness until I realized that if I wrote or read when I could not sleep I was just rewarding that part of me that refused to sleep... so Instead I decided to treat my stubborn sleepless mind as I would a 2 year old. "You do not want to sleep?...OK... but you must lay down in bed with your eyes closed" At first it did not work because stubborn mind kept thinking and thinking but after a while... I would say a day or two... Mind was so tired that when she had to lay there and close her eyes she could not help but give in and fall asleep... DOn't laugh!!! loll and do not think I am Psychotic, talking to myself ( or to my mind for that matter) It has been proven that when one talks to parts of one's body one effects changes... Like Cancer patients visualizing the cancer cells as an enemy invading their body and imagining they gather their white blood cells to respond to the attack... It has worked! The way I look at it is I had nothing to lose and lots to gain, so I tried it and surprisingly, most times, it worked as well. Now I recommended to all my patients . Try it Adhor... you'll see :-) Good luck and be well xoxoxo

I wonder if anyone has ever calculated the time being wasted each day, collectively, by people getting lost in these damn push-button mazes. Probably not, but I suspect it would be a staggering amount...
I envy you for being able to leave Grump off the leash - I used to be able to do that with Jag, but for the most part it's just not possible with Bennie...
It's nice that the lady Helen is settling in well, and of course I hope that Morpheus will be kind to you and cradle you gently...

Yeah, those push-button menus can get a little infuriating at times, and I believe you're right. Not only have all of the knowledgeable civil servents retired, but I don't even know if they use that term anymore! And I can't blame the kitties for following close by and being curious. I'd be wondering about those "squeaky balls" too . . .

Your recipe for Smooch and Grump's dinner sounds ideal. So does the
beautiful walk in air cool enough to need a sweater. Pleasant dreams.

I have come to think my son's rescue doggie, we couldn't decide
what breed she is, is at least part pit. Kaylee is small but muscular and the most loving little dog I've ever seen. She has rescued my son from his depression, made him get up and walk half an hour each morning, which has put him in better physical condition, which makes him smile more. She's a gold color, short haired, and smiles all the time.
