Re:Adnohr
Brr 'cold showers do not appeal, luke warm is bad enough when I forget to turn the heater on. We rarely see a bird of prey, I think road kill satisfies most needs and provides a hygienic solution I suppose. You see we do not get many bears flattened.

Re: Doc JPT
It is funny really folk walk around with horrible big specs., but will not wear a tiny little plastic piece in the ear. One has to become reacquainted with hidden sounds ie.,the kettle boiling and folk muttering under their breath.

Well it is nice to hear the birds singing again FS. But it it is so small I am always afraid of losing it in the garden. Keep away from loud noises we never think of that when young.

Humanity en masse does jar somewhat. I sympathise with son it is something to ponder on. Yes sit in a paddling pool it is more rewarding.

A friend of mine has a hearing aid - I don't know why, he keeps turning it off...And I don't think frogs eat slugs, but I know virtually nothing of their diet and could be wrong...Love the poem - I too look for a haystack on occasion...

There is a lot of flesh showing around here this summer. Our place is between the parking lot and some of the buildings and the swimming pool. On their way to the pool, they pass close enough for Son #1 to either enjoy the sight, or cringe at the way some look. I gave us swimming in the pool some years back when I passed 65.

This reminds me that I too must go for a hearing aid one day. Lost most of my hearing in my left ear in a shooting accident. Its just that I don't want a hearing aid, and I don't mind saying what...What was that...What.

Beautiful flowers. My mom needs to wear hearing aides but will not. I admire you for using to help your hearing.

You have such lovely flowers! And your new little green friend (assuming he's a green frog, of course, and not one of those tropical colored ones) sounds charming - I hope he survives and thrives in your garden

That hearing problem must be very annoying. As for the huge birds, that are only doing what Nature ordains, I wish they would do their dirty business elsewhere than where I can see it happen. It upsets my day. For the poet - if the rain doesn't show, maybe a cold shower?

To hear, or not to hear, that is the option...
Whether it is nobler to endure the slings and arrows of outrageous crosstalk and simply withdraw from the conversation, or to pick up the new audiola and by plugging end them..
