A lot of different themes associated with fried...I do not recall ever having had fried green tomatos.

It's not just the delicious tomatoes of today that are so compelling,
it's that they're a ticket back to those thrilling days of yesteryear. I could almost see all those scenes you wrote about, the kitchen table where cooking and preserving are done. Your writing is delicious.

Do you know Taps I have never tried green tommies. Each year we wait hoping for the first red ones, but no one thinks of frying them green, well some might but I have never heard of anyone doing so. i wonder if it is the large Beef steak ones that you grow we usually have the small ones as they freeze easily.
