TAPS
I do hope Son #1 has recovered from his fall! As to the rest, there are situations where words are pointless, and this one strikes me as one of those. So let me just say that I admire you for the way you are handling this very difficult situation, and of course I also hope that one day Son#1 will at least try to get some help...

I am sorry for both of you. I know lots of people who pray for addicts and some are delivered. May I add Son#1? God knows him and his name? You have so much strength of heart and love. I know how that goes I did the same with one of mine. God is blessing you with your love for him and your wonderful ability to receive God's love and blessing when all is bleak for a moment.

Hmm -yes, have lived similar experiences with ones close to me. Like Kabu commented - the music and the walk are both good remedies.

Never lose faith, God has a way with these things, and if there is anything I can do, anything I can say, I am here for you and son #1.

The music is very calming. It is difficult but you have the right perspective. We love the son or daughter and do not like their ways. Keep peace for yourself.

It's good that you can keep your head held high and see the goodness of life in spite of the various "unpleasantries." Yeah, that sounds like a rough beginning for any day! Hope your son is alright . . .

TAPS...
What an abrupt awakening it had to be! Not exactly a pleasant way to start the morning. I would have wondered if it was a dream or reality. Thank goodness it wasn't worse, and I'm sure your walk was good therapy after the morning madness..

I am glad to read that he was able to go and get some sleep...That was quite the start to the day.

What a shock! I hope you're settled and your usual self again.
And I hope your son will find a way to live sober. Take care.
