Love your writing. For this piece I've always felt myself too Americanized to get into any discussion of problems or anything. Any country has to live through difficult situations, some take years to solve. Love ya cousin.

Re:Naut
I seem to remember the name Alan Dershovitz from the social tides of the '60s and '70s, and if my memory serves, I was probably a fan of his. You're right, of course, this one case isn't big enough to hold 250 years' worth - What I'm sayin' is it's part of a pattern.

I don't comment on things like this in America....all I will say is that you are not a good writer...Oh No. You are a great writer and one last thing....I love you Pat B. We could have been Sisters.

Don't know much about this Pat but similiar circumstances here have usually after a struggle been in favour of the the survivor, it has not always been the case, but it does seem that public opinion has swayed the result in the last few years,

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree. In my view, we cannot unload the baggage of 250 years of a very unfortunate chapter of American history onto a single case, which must always be decided on the basis of the evidence at hand. Here, the evidence at hand could lead only to one conclusion: Acquittal! And I commend the courageous ladies of the jury who, I have no doubt, were aware of the tremendous political pressure to convict...
And since it's always good to get some help for one's unpopular opinions, LOL, I give you Alan Dershovitz, Harvard law professor, whom I respect highly, and who shares my view...

I get very emotional when I think about writing on the verdict so I really appreciated your objective take on it with this post! I read it earlier today and found it difficult to comment at the time so I processed what you said and I must say you did an awesome job of it! I sincerely hope that this is a signal for change! sam

MLK had a dream before he was killed. We are closer but not there yet.
