Folk used to put them by the gate to stop cars parking etc, but they started to disappear as things like this seem to be sought after.Well I suppose if one had to pay a man to make one from stone it would cost a pretty penny.

A very ingenious contraption to keep rats from getting up into ricks and bins and such.  Plus they are interesting to look at.   Good picture.

Are you sure these are not just petrafied mushrooms? They are cool though. They would keep folks from driving on my grass. How wonderful it is to keep the history alive.
