I absolutely loved this post. I think we should get a group of a certain age to form a "Putlog Group". My thinking is that if each one could come up with something as clever or at least a helpful idea like you did we would make a lot of things so easy. Loved it.

Re: Re: Ciel

I suggest going to a computer technician and asking about what can be done.  My mom and sister won't do that, just won't get around to it.  But I suspect that there is some way to get in.

I do like your idea of a put log! It's just that I suspect I might end up wondering where I put it, as is happening with a lot of things...

I hope my last act on earth is to destroy the hard drive on my computer...Wiley has an envelope and I know where it is, it is full of info. I hope that I never need to follow.

Re: Ciel

My Sis-in-Law is having that same trouble.  Her hubby died a few months ago and neither she nor her son have any idea how to get into his computer.  It is driving her nuts.

Not a bad idea Taps, I guess someone will swear a lot when they sort through my effects. I was interested in the flower pictures I have just bought some young chrysanthemum plants and I chose ones like you show today. If we are still alive I will show you the flowers in the late Autumn Yippee!

You're going to need a put box

and possibly a put cupboard...

When my dad died, he had not done anything like this, and to this day, there is no getting into his computer because he never told anyone or listed his passwords.

Not a bad idea at all. Just remember to have lots of Post-Its handy to remind you where the Put Log is . . .

I love the idea of a Put Log!

Not only will it be very helpful for your family if something happens, but it also seems like a great way for you to figure out where everything is, and get stuff in order - something I really should do also (like you, I'm not very organized...).

When I put something away for safe keeping, I always write myself a note in my phone regarding the location. If that phone ever goes missing, I'm in BIG trouble!

LOL - a valid question: Now where did I put my putlog?

In another context a log is a list or report - as in Captain's log...

So naming your new composition book a put log is a perfect label for it.  We all need a put log, esp. as we get to the point where we forget where we put something so we'd never lose track of it.

I like the sound of putlog, and of course, wonder where I  can put it, but unlike you, I never do anything that would keep me out of misschief...The spell check is still down, did I spell, spell right?
