Re: ..

Rumour perhaps we could form an ingrowing toe nail club passing photos in secret in sealed envelopes and odd samples of black toe clippings. I vote you as the first Chairman,

CCT...

No one seems to know how much an infected toe can hurt until they've been there, most certainly including ingrown toenails...my big toe was infected in the hospital - of all places -  last year for what seemed forever...I think I must have walked into a leg on the operating table....

Re: Taps

Oh dear Taps he is far too young to know what they really are . When we had the haycarts we carried one in each hand as they were the bases of the straddle stones or saddle stones that were the base of the ricks I will post one for Son 1 to see , These were used to stop the rats climbing up into the sheaves of corn as you will see when I post the picture of the complete item, of course a lot more detail went into forming the base of the ricks but labour was cheap in those days one could get a pint of cider for tuppence, but getting tuppence off the old lady was like getting blood out of the stone they were chiselled from.. Or from which they were chiselled. that sounds better.

I'm sure glad you're getting over you toe troubles! Stop wearing socks, and you'll never have that problem again! And those things - are they Stone age boat anchors?

Son #1 was standing behind me looking at the computer when I read this post last night.  He asked me, "What are those cement things?"  When I told him it was a picture of the Scary Shadow Man and his three gnomes turned to stone, he thought I was either nuts, or trying to get rid of him.  So he went off and left me alone.

Re: Kabu

Oh I can stand pain Kabu and what heart? I have started charging twenty pence for my best carnations per bloom do you think large dahlias are worth tenpence per bloom I give the pinks and smaller flowers away. The proceeds will go to  Hospice  which treats terminally ill patients, but I thought it is nice to do some good with the flowers rather than just keep giving all of  them away.

Re: Sorry you're dealing with pain. Toeseys really throb when they're hurt...

I don't really mind Taps as long as recovery mode is in the offing. A lot of walking up and down watering at the moment, keeps one on ones toes though.

Re: Jimmy

No I don't take pain pills if I can help it Jimmy. He does not seem to scare the ladies but I guess they are pretty tough. We men are more gentle.

So sorry about all the torture, but I'm glad you had it taken care of.  Now just follow her directions to keep it from getting infected.

Ouch!!! Are you okay now? The poet has maybe tried too often, with too many, so the feeling becomes dim.

I'm sorry to hear of your discomfort too. I wouldn't take those pain pills either unless I really, really had to! And is there any chance of the "scary shadow man" turning to stone as well. . . ?

Sorry you're dealing with pain. Toeseys really throb when they're hurt...

I avoid those freaky pain meds, too, but being in pain makes me so crabby.
