Hear, hear! (And not 'Here, here', as some have it...)

I could understand the excitement over his books but to keep you like that was way over the edge for me! Maybe it's because I have a hard time telling anyone about myself let alone the family! sam

LOL! Yeah, I’ve known my share of those kinds of people...And as I was making myself a latte (both better and cheaper than Starbucks’! I make it with properly frothed milk, of course and cinnamon, using a really dark, French roast of beans that I grind myself; and while I’m waiting for that I sometimes zap half a frozen croissant in the microwave, so that it’s nice and soft, and spread some Nutella on it), so, as I said, as I was doing all that after first reading your post, I was racking my brain (not wrecking, as some people say!) for an appropriately funny male name, for a male Chatty Kathy. (Not that Kathy is all that funny, but at least it’s a friendly name, I think. The problem is that you need something that ends with a ‘y’, or at least an ‘ie’, I mean you want the alliteration, of course. And it occurred to me that there really aren’t all that many funny male names that would fit the bill! In the end, for reasons that are not entirely clear to me, I settled on ‘Ernie’. There may well be funnier and more appropriate names for this purpose, and, as I said, I’m not sure why I find that name slightly funny. Imagine Oscar (which is also a funny name, by the way, as far as I am concerned – the problem is that it lacks the alliterative possibilities) Wilde had written, ‘The Importance of being Ernie’! Hilarious! But he didn’t, as we all know, and his play is actually funny enough as it is. And yes, I did think about ‘Oscar’ as well – but in the end I did settle for ‘Chatty Ernie’, and hope that it’ll find some acclaim. Having said that, it’s of course absolutely possible that someone else will come up with something far more fetching and...oh sorry, I see...I’ll develop that thought for you the next time I drop in...
