Re:

You're quite welcome, MsJudy. Things don't have to be so serious all the time! Let's have a few laughs . . .

Re:

Believe it or not, C C T, I can love a girl who's "over" me. But then we'd have to switch positions!  And actually I do have a pet . . . or should I say pets. How does a half a dozen cats grab you?  And yeah, I think I'd rather have those strawberries than an apple that tases like cotton wool too . . .

Re:

Well, mariss, not necessarily above it. But perhaps they feel they may have out-grown it. But if it's still a part of your good-byes, then by all means, continue . . .

Yes Jimmy you cannot love a girl if she is over there, I mean over you. Look it is nearly nine oclock and I am weary from making comments. What ever I say from now on will be extremely banal so I must conclude without even, just a thought have you a pet? No I don't think so, or you would have mentioned the critter. I think I will have an apple for supper although they taste like cotton wool. No I remember I have a bowl of strwawberries they taste like sherbert if dipped in castor sugar. That's it I'll leave the poetry page for tomorrow

I wondered why people rarely wave back.  Now I know they are above it.

Re:

Well, that's one way to get around it, Utah. However, I think if I had a choice, I'd rather see my "bad" check on the grocery store wall than my pic on the post office wall! No alias in the world will help you then . . .

posted by JimmyA on July 9, 2013 at 12:15 PM | link to this | reply

I never seen my check on the wall, or my face in the post office...I use an alias.

Re: JimmyA

You too, Sir Wiley? I guess great minds do think alike ( meaning you and Kabu of course! ) Glad you enjoyed these . . .

Re:

Glad to hear it, Kabu. Some are cute, some are silly, and some are thought-provoking. Yeah, seeing a small flower or tuft of grass make its way through a crack in the pavement can be considered inspiring to some . . .

Re: JimmyA

Well, I can't promise anything, Bill, but I'll see what I can do. So, just how many different colors would you like your hat to sport . . . ?

Re:

What's the old saying, Dr JPT? "Fool me once, shame on you . . . fool me twice, shame on me?" If my wife and I ever notice any such behavior from the wait-staff of a restaurant, rest assured we never return to that restaurant!

Re:

Thanks, FSI. I've never experienced anything like that myself ( although I never go to a store and pay with a personal check ) but I can imagine that it must be heartbreaking to see that just the same . . .

Glad to be of assistance, lustor. Laughter is still the best medicine! I hope you're doing a little better today! C'mon . . . shake those blues!

Re: Jimmy

Good to hear, Naut, although I don't think there are too many waitresses who last too long at a restaurant after sporting open sores! Perhaps if they wore gloves . . .

Re:

I'm not sure, adnohr. Perhaps we're still allowed to wave bye-bye and possibly say bye-bye, just not at the same time . . .

That waitress with sore on head prompts me add one sratching and playing in hair, then think it is okay to pick up food with hand and give to you.

Jimmy

The penultimate one almost made me toss my breakfast, but luckily the last one did make me smile and helped overcome my gag-reflex...

What? We're not supposed to wave bye-bye because we're grownups??? When did that happen?
