I stopped watching the news years ago because it is so unsettling. I changed my home page on my computer because I did not want to be assaulted with the latest horror of the day.
I choose to be ignorant I suppose...

Great Post!
Hubby and I were actually talking about this very thing last evening, and I was planning on doing a post about it myself. As you've already beaten me to it (and expressed it better than I ever could have!) I'll stick with commenting here and agreeing with your excellent post!

It is rewarding to read someone who knows reallty from media and government hype and fiction, the temps haven't rose in years and there are more polar bears than ever before. Great post.

Yes, Ciel. I imagine all of the points you made have to do with it.

Wonderful Post darling. I agree with every word that you have spoken. Wiley bless him must have anything he wants cos he is pretty much confined to the house at present...but Sigh. he keeps watching this awful trial on CNN... It depresses me but as i say, Wiley must have something to do.

I guess too many people watch the news, see these terrible stories and tragedies, and exclaim "Well, that couldn't happen here!" That's what my wife and I thought about certain natural disasters until Sandy struck! Now we're trying to be prepared ( at least mentally ) for almost any eventuality . . .
