My goodness you had quite the ride! I can appreciate your mother's reaction, they do love their children and get spooked too! I agree with Naut, you have such a great way of telling your stories that are so magnificently captivating! I plan to read them all over the next few days, too! sam

Again, a beautifully told adventure - I thought I was there with you! It's too late now, LOL, but having done a little riding myself, I must tell you it's safer to ride completely bare-back than having a loose blanket between you and the horse...

I'm really glad you weren't hurt, since that situation could have ended badly. But the image of you clinging to the neck of a runaway horse had me giggling helplessly. Happy 4th of July

Ah - those first crushes!! We all had them, and I expect it was much harder for a guy than a girl. At least we could giggle to each other in sympathy; I thinks boys tended to suffer in silence. Thankfully you had sense enough to hang on with your runaway! Great series of stories!!
