More messy stuff with that money - I don't know what to suggest! I just hope you'll make the right decision...

I understand completely. My sister-in-law is like that. She wants my imprisoned brother to give her everything he worked hard for and property that our Dad gave him. Foolishly he added her name. I am letting the process take its course.
It difficult but not impossible. Avoid spite. Figure out a way that you can live okay now, get your share and let go of the EX by creating a new life for you.

Strange
that he would be legally entitled to anything at all - it's your retirement that you worked hard for. If you're not currently married to him, I fail to understand why anyone (the ex or the law) would think he deserved a share...
Happy 4th of July, I hope you're able to beat the heat and enjoy some celebrations today!

It was 104 here yesterday and I don't have much hope for cooler weather today...Seems funny when the weather man says "cool down to the mid 90's) right...Good luck on the house Sam.

It seems to me my temper is quicker to flash in very hot weather.
Maybe when the weather cools, and your money issues do the same, all the rest will feel like a cool breeze over the lake as well. I can certainly understand your frustration.

It may not hurt to save the retirement for the future anyway. It seems right to leave the issue for another time other than the wedding. I hope you can get an agreeable deal on the house; something should work out anyway. I, too have learned a few things from being conned and used, although I feel there is more insight to go.
