Yes, many people do not know that the Declaration was actually signed on the 2nd, not the 4th ( but we're not about to change a national holiday now ). As for that Constitutional Freedom of Speech law, unfortunately it seems to have been eroding little by little with each passing year. So many people have been publicly crucified for doing no more than speaking their minds or expressing their opinions. I too still believe in the mantra "I may not agree with what you say, but I'll fight for your right to say it." I just hope we can all hold out a little longer . . .
