I've never been involved in any kind of food-eating contest either. Don't think I'd have much of a chance of winning anyway ( I'm a light eater! )

My school one time as a way to celebrate its magazine drive had a donut eating contest where two students from each grade participated.

Cute story.
I've seen a pie-eating contest several times at a big summer picnic. It was quite messy. I've never taken part myself.
