Re: C_C_T

LOL.  Those "tombstones" are air-conditioning units on top of a three-story, six-unit apartment building.  I had my camera pointed upwards.

I agree with Naut. Atmospheric layers and cloud layers ( as your pic shows ) are two different things, although they are somewhat intertwined. What you have there seems to be a storm front on top of a storm front on top of a storm front! I'd stay inside too . . .

Good spotting Taps can't say I have ever seen layers like that. Just out of curiosity what are the tombstones doing in the bottom right hand corner.

Great Picture!

I don't know if it has much to do with the levels of the atmosphere, but it looks really great (and a bit threatening) either way!  Hope you're managing to stay dry down there.

Taps

I am with you I like food layers better than weather layers.

Neat photo! Though I don't think these cloud layers are identical to the atmospheric layers you mentioned...Aside from that, we too have had a very wet and unsettled spring and summer so far...

That must have been some storm there.

That's a very clear photo, and this year we've seen so many

different cloud formations that a few years ago would have been rare. This spring and early summer has made me nostalgic for last year's drought.
